According to Della Corte, this house was having its external walls renovated in 79AD.

Three plaster-casts of doors remain in situ, two thrown open to the vestibule of IX.7.9 and the closed doors of the shop at IX.7.10.

This was the house of Montanus, who confessed himself client of, and gave his support to, the candidature of the noble L. Popidio Ampliato, in a recommendation.

On the pilaster to the left of the doorway, Della Corte could read the electoral programma, CIL IV 7851 –
